DATE: Mid-Century, 1950 to 1970

Cool fully loaded silver charm bracelet with clasp by Georg Jensen. It dates from the mid 20th century, with all the usual charms associated with this era, plus a couple I've never seen before. There are break glass pound note charms, good luck horseshoes, and I Love You with diamond cut border, fish, boot, phone, rose, a wedding ring set, some mounted coins (dated 1941 and 1965), spider in web, merry-go-round, lantern, watering can, wedding bells, a 21 key to the door, witch on broomstick, a st. Christopher, some enamelled city badges, stork, penny farthing, photo locket with my and dad, etc, etc, etc. All the old life milestones covered, really, in one huge maximalist conglomerate. Oh, and that Jensen heart padlock clasp holding everything together. Who said it was just the Victorians who were into they symbolism in jewellery? Quite wonderful.
